Lady Police Constable Files FIR Alleging Armed Coercion to Force Marriage

Kundian (HRNW): A Lady Police Constable stationed at Piplan Police Station in Kundian, Mianwali District, has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against a fellow police constable, alleging that he attempted to force her into marriage at gunpoint.

According to the FIR, the incident allegedly occurred while the complainant was on duty at THQ Hospital Piplan. The complainant stated that the accused allegedly threatened her with a pistol and attempted to coerce her into agreeing to marry him. She further alleged that during her resistance, the pistol fell to the ground, after which the accused reportedly fled the scene while issuing threats.

Following the complaint, police have registered a case under the relevant provisions of the law and initiated an investigation. Authorities stated that all aspects of the incident are being examined and that appropriate legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.

Human rights experts emphasize that women, including those serving in law enforcement agencies, have the right to a safe, respectful, and harassment-free workplace. They have called for a prompt, impartial, and transparent investigation to ensure accountability and uphold the rule of law.
