New York, United States (HRNW)- On 1 June 2026, the United Nations reaffirmed its commitment to combating global hunger as the World Food Programme (WFP) continues delivering lifesaving assistance to millions of vulnerable people worldwide.
UN officials warned that more than 360 million people remain affected by severe food insecurity due to conflicts, climate shocks, and economic instability. The organization called for stronger international support to sustain humanitarian operations and prevent further deterioration of food crises.
