174 Palestinian Children Killed in Occupied West Bank Since 2024, UNICEF Raises Alarm

Occupied West Bank (HRNW), August 12, 2026: The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has issued a concerning report on the situation of Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank, stating that 174 Palestinian children have been killed since 2024.

According to UNICEF, 355 Palestinian children from the West Bank are currently being held in Israeli military detention.

The report expresses serious concern over the growing incidents of violence, arrests and detention involving children and calls for stronger protection of children and respect for their fundamental rights.

UNICEF has emphasized the need to safeguard children from violence and ensure that their rights and well-being are protected under international law.
