Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah Urges Public Participation in Earth Hour 2026

KARACHI (HRNW) – As “Earth Hour” is being observed across Pakistan today, March 28, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has issued a special appeal to the public to dedicate one hour to the planet.

Commitment to Energy Conservation

The Chief Minister has requested citizens to halt all unnecessary energy consumption between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM. He urged the public to demonstrate their love for the Earth by switching off non-essential lights and electrical appliances during this period.

“Earth Hour serves as a powerful reminder to reduce energy consumption,” stated CM Murad Ali Shah. “Lowering our energy usage will have a direct and positive impact on our environment.”

Government Participation

In line with the global movement, the Chief Minister announced that Earth Hour will be officially observed across all government buildings and offices in Sindh. All unnecessary lights at the CM House and other provincial departments will be turned off for the designated hour to show solidarity with global climate action.

The provincial leadership hopes this initiative will encourage long-term sustainable habits among the citizens of Sindh to combat the growing challenges of climate change.
