Lahore (HRNW) — Police have arrested a suspect following a complaint of alleged physical assault of a 10-year-old boy, Hafiz-ur-Rehman, in the Gulshan Ravi area.
According to the spokesperson for the DIG Operations, police took immediate action after receiving the complaint. The child’s family alleged that Hasan Raza assaulted the boy with a water pipe after a vehicle’s window glass was broken.
Police said legal proceedings were initiated immediately after the incident was reported. A case, FIR No. 898/26, has been registered against Hasan Raza on charges related to the alleged assault, and the nominated suspect has been arrested.
The arrested suspect has been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further legal proceedings, according to the DIG Operations spokesperson.
The police spokesperson said that incidents of violence and harassment against children are completely unacceptable and that action is being taken in accordance with the law.
The Operations Wing further stated that police are ensuring prompt action to protect children and provide justice to citizens.
