GENEVA (HRNW)— The International Association of Democratic Lawyers has angrily condemned the U.S. and Israel for what it calls an illegal act of aggression against Iran that flagrantly violates the United Nations Charter and fundamental principles of sovereignty.
In its declaration, the IADL argued that the attack is not only unlawful under international law but part of a broader strategy to impose geopolitical control over West Asia. The organisation urged member states to implement arms embargoes, withdraw ambassadors, and pursue legal action against political and military leaders responsible for the offensive. It also called on lawyers and human rights groups worldwide to take coordinated action through domestic and international judicial systems in pursuit of accountability.
In its view, failure to enforce legal norms in Iran sets a dangerous precedent for future conflicts.
