Kyiv (HRNW)- Ukraine has claimed to have launched long-range missile strikes against Russian military and energy infrastructure, targeting facilities that support Moscow’s military operations.
According to media reports, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukrainian forces struck two strategic sites in Russia’s Saratov region, located more than 600 kilometers from the front line.
According to President Zelensky, the main targets included the Saratov oil refinery and the Engels military air base, both considered strategically important for Russia’s military operations.
Ukrainian forces also reportedly targeted the Lyudinovskaya oil depot in Russia’s Kaluga region, striking a fuel storage facility. In addition, an attack was carried out on a site in Bryansk region that Ukraine says is used to store, prepare and launch attack drones.
President Zelensky praised Ukraine’s defense forces for expanding the country’s long-range strike capabilities and achieving what he described as accurate operational results.
He said Ukraine would continue its long-term campaign against Russian facilities that support the country’s military operations and finance the war.
