Safe City Hyderabad project is a historic step towards urban safety, trade stability and economic development, HCSTSI President Saleem Memon

Hyderabad ( HRNW) President Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry, Muhammad Saleem Memon, while addressing the inauguration ceremony held at the SSP Office Hyderabad at the launching ceremony of the Safe City project in Hyderabad, termed the project as a historic, far-reaching and commendable step towards a safe, orderly and developed future of the city. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Sindh Government, IGP Sindh Javed Alam Odho, Sindh Police, DIGP Hyderabad Tariq Razak Dharejo, SSP Hyderabad Shazaib Chachar, Chairman Community Policing Karachi Murad Ali Soni, Chairman Hyderabad SITE Association and Chief CPK Hyderabad Range Zubair Ghangra, Deputy Chief CPK Imran Sarwardi, district administration, and all stakeholders associated with this important public and business partnership.

Saleem Memon said that in today’s world, the use of modern technology has become indispensable for development, effective governance and urban safety. Just as technology has increased efficiency by reducing the pressure of human labor, time, and resources around the world, similarly, a modern surveillance system is the need of the hour in a major commercial and industrial city like Hyderabad. He said that in view of the challenges like limited human resources and shortage of police personnel in Hyderabad, the technology-equipped Safe City project will prove to be an effective assistant to the law enforcement agencies, which will enable better surveillance, quick response, and crime prevention despite less manpower. He said that the Safe City project is not just about installing cameras but is a strong foundation for citizen trust, commercial security, industrial stability, investment promotion, and social improvement through modern technology. This project will further improve the reduction of street crime, effective surveillance of suspicious activities, security of entry and exit routes, and the system of prompt legal response.
HCSTSI President said that for the past several years, the Hyderabad Chamber has been continuously raising its voice on every platform for the establishment of a Safe City project in Hyderabad on the model of Karachi. He termed the mutual cooperation between Sindh Police, District Administration, Community Policing Karachi, and the business community as an excellent example of public-private partnership and said that this collaboration will not only strengthen the security of lives and property of citizens but will also increase confidence among traders, industrialists, investors, and ordinary citizens.
Saleem Memon said that Hyderabad is one of the important business cities of Pakistan, where thousands of businesses, industrial units, and commercial centers play an important role in the country’s economy. In such a situation, the Safe City project will play an important role in protecting business activities and promoting local and foreign investment by preventing extortion, theft, robbery, and other crimes.
He expressed the hope that the project would be expanded in phases to all major commercial areas of the city, industrial zones, markets, educational institutions, entry and exit routes, and sensitive locations so that Hyderabad can truly become a safe, modern, and business-friendly city. The HCSTSI President said that the Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry, like in the past, will continue to fully cooperate with the Sindh Police, district administration, and business community in every positive initiative for the peace, economic stability, modern development, and urban welfare of the city.
