Sindh Hotel & Restaurant Association Announces Citywide Hotel Shutdown Protest

Karachi, Pakistan (HRNW) — The All Sindh Hotel & Restaurant Grand Association has announced a citywide shutdown of all hotels in Karachi on Monday in protest against an alleged incident of severe mistreatment and violence against hotel employees.

According to association representatives, the decision has been taken in response to what they described as brutality and injustice faced by workers. The association also announced a protest sit-in outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Central) in Karachi.

Leaders of the association stated that violence against employees is unacceptable under any circumstances and demanded immediate and transparent legal action against those involved in the incident. They emphasized that they “do not accept such oppressive practices” and vowed to continue raising their voice for workers’ rights.

The association further warned that the protest would continue until justice is served, adding that the hotel industry stands united in support of the protection of workers’ rights.
