“GREENPEACE CRIES FOUL: WAR IN IRAN IS A HUMANITARIAN & ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER”

AMSTERDAM (HRNW)— Greenpeace International has issued a strong condemnation of the joint U.S.–Israeli strike on Iran, warning that further military escalation inflicts untold harm on civilians and threatens environmental systems already under strain.

In a statement, executive leadership said the violence deepens human suffering and undermines global legal frameworks designed to prevent war, calling on all parties to halt military actions immediately and prioritize diplomacy. Greenpeace emphasised that civilians have the right to safety, dignity, and peace — and that war also brings lasting environmental devastation, from polluted land to endangered water sources.

“Our deepest sympathy goes to all affected,” the statement read, urging protection of homes, hospitals, and critical infrastructure.
