Islamabad (HRNW) — The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued its reserved decision regarding the intra-party elections of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), declaring the party ineligible to retain its electoral symbol.
In its seven-page written order, the Election Commission stated that the documents submitted by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan regarding its intra-party elections were not acceptable under the required legal criteria.
According to the decision, the party’s electoral symbol “Crane” has been withdrawn. The Election Commission further clarified that an electoral symbol can only be allotted to a political party after it fulfills all constitutional and legal requirements, including compliance with rules related to intra-party elections.
