Hyderabad (HRNW)- On the occasion of the Right to Self-Determination of Kashmir, the Istihkam Pakistan Organization (ISPO) reiterates in clear, unambiguous, and unequivocal terms that Kashmir is not an internal matter of India, but an internationally recognized disputed territory. Its final status must be determined solely through a free and impartial plebiscite by the Kashmiri people, as explicitly guaranteed by numerous United Nations resolutions.
Chairman of ISPO, Muhammad Ahsan Naggar, stated that for decades India has been perpetrating the worst form of state terrorism in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Extrajudicial killings, blinding innocent children with pellet guns, mass graves, enforced disappearances, desecration of women, and the illegal detention of political leadership are irrefutable evidence that India is neither a champion of democracy nor a guardian of human rights.
He further stated that India’s unilateral and unconstitutional actions of 5 August 2019 have fully exposed its ugly face to the world. These measures were aimed at erasing the identity of Kashmiris, altering the demographic structure, and abolishing their right to self-determination, which constitutes a blatant violation of international law, the Geneva Conventions, and the United Nations Charter.
Muhammad Ahsan Naggar categorically asserted that oppression, coercion, and brute force can never suppress the spirit of freedom of the Kashmiri people. Their sacrifices are a clear declaration that the right to self-determination is an inalienable right which no occupying power can extinguish.
The Istihkam Pakistan Organization strongly demands that the United Nations, the Security Council, the OIC, and so-called global human rights organizations move beyond hollow statements and expressions of concern, take decisive and practical action against India, and immediately take notice of the grave human rights violations being committed in occupied Kashmir.
It was further stated that continued criminal silence by the international community would not only be a gross injustice to the Kashmiri people but would also pose a serious threat to global peace.
In conclusion, the Chairman unequivocally declared that the Istihkam Pakistan Organization will continue its full support for the just and legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people, will expose Indian atrocities at every national and international forum, and will never allow the voice of Kashmir’s right to self-determination to be silenced.
