Lahore (HRNW) — Additional stringent legal provisions, including those carrying the death penalty, have reportedly been added to a case involving the alleged rape of a mentally disabled girl by an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI).
According to the available information, the case was initially registered only under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), relating to rape. However, further and more serious provisions have subsequently been added in view of the nature of the alleged incident and the condition of the victim.
