Oslo, Norway (HRNW): The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) has called on the international community to increase humanitarian assistance for millions of displaced people affected by armed conflicts, climate-related disasters, and prolonged humanitarian emergencies. The organization warned that funding shortages continue to limit essential services for vulnerable communities.
According to the NRC, displaced families require urgent access to shelter, clean water, education, legal assistance, and livelihood opportunities. The organization stressed that humanitarian needs continue to rise while available funding remains insufficient to meet growing demands.
The NRC continues implementing emergency response programmes across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, working closely with local communities and humanitarian partners to improve living conditions and strengthen resilience.
Humanitarian experts note that protecting displaced populations remains one of the most significant international human rights and development priorities, requiring coordinated global action and sustained financial support.
