The United Nations has launched the UN System Data Commons, a new platform designed to bring trusted public data and statistics from 26 UN system entities into a single online gateway.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres unveiled the platform at UN Headquarters, describing it as an effort to make authoritative data easier for researchers, governments, developers and the public to find and use.
The initiative comes as artificial intelligence increasingly shapes how people search for information. The UN says the platform is intended to help users connect data with its original sources and improve access to reliable evidence for analysis and decision-making.
