District South Police: Missing Children Rescued at Sea View and Reunited with Families

KARACHI (HRNW)- In a commendable display of proactive policing, the Darakhshan Police in District South successfully rescued two young children found wandering alone at Sea View and ensured their safety through proper legal channels.

Details of the Incident:

According to the spokesperson for District South Police, two minor children were found abandoned near the Sea View beachfront within the jurisdictional limits of the Darakhshan Police Station. The children were identified as:

  1. Jannat, daughter of Muhammad Raza (9 years old)

  2. Muhammad Hammad, son of Hamish (10 years old)

Police Action and Reunification:

Under the directives of SSP South Mahzoor Ali, the police immediately took the children into protective custody and initiated a search for their guardians. To ensure a sensitive environment and follow legal protocols, the minors were shifted to the Women’s Police Station.

Current Status:

  • Reunited: Following rigorous verification and identification, 10-year-old Muhammad Hammad was safely handed over to his parents.

  • Shelter Care: Since the guardians of 9-year-old Jannat have not yet been located, she has been transferred to a state-recognized shelter home for better care and protection until her family is traced.

SSP South Mahzoor Ali praised the police team for their swift response and urged citizens to remain vigilant regarding the safety of children in crowded public spaces.
