Baghdadi Police Crack Down on Drug Peddlers; Two Wanted Suspects Arrested, ‘Ice’ Recovered

KARACHI (HRNW)- In an effective intelligence-based operation against the drug menace, the Baghdadi Police in Karachi arrested two notorious and wanted drug peddlers. The operation, conducted on April 18, 2026, was supervised by SHO Baghdadi, PI Babar Hamid.

Details of the Operation and Arrests:

According to police officials, the arrested suspects have been identified as Farhan alias Khalifa, son of Muhammad Javed, and Abdul Khaliq, son of Imam Bakhsh. Both individuals were wanted by the authorities under two specific intelligence reports (IR-7935 and IR-11718) for their involvement in drug trafficking.

Recovery and Legal Action:

During the search, police claimed to have recovered a total of 102 grams of Crystal Meth (Ice) from the suspects’ possession. A formal case (FIR No. 115/2026) has been registered at the Baghdadi Police Station under Section 6/9-2(4) of the Control of Narcotic Substances Act.

Criminal Records:

Investigations have revealed a significant criminal history for both suspects:

  • Abdul Khaliq: Has a history of involvement in multiple cases related to drug peddling and other offenses.

  • Farhan alias Khalifa: Is nominated in several serious cases, including attempted murder, resisting police, and other heinous crimes.

Police Commitment:

SHO Babar Hamid stated that the crackdown on drug dealers in the area will be intensified further. He emphasized that indiscriminate action will continue against those destroying the future of the youth to ensure the society is purged of the curse of narcotics.
