Tehran (HRNW)- Iran has rejected claims by US President Donald Trump regarding alleged new activity at the country’s “Pick-X Mountain” (Kuh-e-Kolang), calling reports of developments at the site baseless.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said there was no truth to the reports concerning Pick-X Mountain. Trump had previously said the United States was monitoring activity in the area and warned Iran to exercise caution.
Pick-X Mountain has emerged as a focus of US concerns over Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure, with Trump previously threatening possible US action against the site.
Baghaei also said Iran has no involvement in the war in Yemen, maintaining that the Houthis make their own decisions based on their interests.
Separately, Iran announced that a key meeting between Tehran and Gulf states scheduled to take place in Oman has been postponed. According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Saudi Arabia requested the delay.
The meeting was expected to address regional issues, including the situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz. Oman also confirmed the postponement, saying the move was intended to create a more favorable environment for reaching consensus among the parties. No new date has been announced.
The postponement comes amid mounting diplomatic pressure over maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, global oil supplies, and broader regional tensions.
