Karachi (HRNW) — Dr. Samia made significant revelations before the Judicial Commission investigating the Mir Reza case, raising serious questions about the police investigation and post-mortem process.
According to Dr. Samia, evidence indicated that Mir Reza’s body showed chemical burns consistent with hydrochloric acid, the presence of anaesthesia, and signs suggesting that he had been shot from behind.
Dr. Samia also alleged that she received threats in connection with the case, was followed, and that her home address and information about her husband were circulated on social media.
The Judicial Commission directed that security be ensured for Dr. Samia and ordered that the Sindh Chief Minister and Home Minister be informed about the situation.
The Commission also questioned Ferozabad SHO Adeel Afzal at length and expressed concern over the investigation process, including the original daily diary, CCTV footage and the manner in which the police investigation was conducted.
The Commission has summoned CIA Inspector Muhammad Ali to appear before it tomorrow for further questioning.
