Karachi (HRNW) — Police investigation into the shocking murder of a woman and her three children in Sector 7-D, Surjani Town, has entered a crucial phase, with several forensic and investigative reports expected to provide further leads.
According to investigation sources, reports concerning chemical examination, fingerprints and blood samples are expected to be received today. Geo-fencing related to the case has also been conducted, while call data records of suspected individuals have been obtained.
Investigators said the mobile phone of the deceased woman, Mahwish, was not found at the crime scene. Her husband has also reportedly expressed ignorance regarding the whereabouts of the mobile phone.
Investigators suspect that the person or persons involved in the incident may have taken the mobile phone with them. The call data record of the SIM used by Mahwish is also being obtained as part of the investigation.
According to investigation sources, the house from where the bodies were recovered has been sealed and locked for the time being. Family members will not be allowed to use the property until the case is resolved and investigative requirements are completed.
The deceased woman and her three children were buried at a local cemetery on the previous day.
