Bhakkar (HRNW): Police in Darya Khan have arrested five alleged members of a motorcycle theft and burglary network, including two alleged key members of the inter-district “Mano Gang,” during an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements in Bhakkar district.
According to police, the operation was conducted on the directions of SSP/DPO Bhakkar Shehzad Rafiq Awan under the supervision of SDPO Darya Khan Muhammad Ziraat Khan and the leadership of SHO City Darya Khan Najeebullah Riaz.
Police said a special team used intelligence-based information, modern technology and scientific investigation techniques to arrest alleged gang members Imran and Javed Iqbal. Three other suspects — Ahmed Khan, Kamran and Taseer Hussain — were also arrested in connection with alleged burglary and house-theft cases.
According to police, the suspects led investigators to the recovery of 11 stolen motorcycles, three rickshaws and household electronic items, including refrigerators and stabilizers. The total value of the recovered property was estimated at approximately Rs. 2.29 million.
Police officials said the arrests and subsequent investigation helped resolve 24 pending cases of theft and burglary registered at City Darya Khan Police Station. The recovered property will be handed over to its rightful owners after completion of the required legal formalities.
DPO Bhakkar Shehzad Rafiq Awan praised the police team for the operation and announced cash rewards and certificates of appreciation for the officers involved. Police officials said similar operations against criminal elements would continue across the district to protect the lives and property of citizens.
