ISLAMABAD (HRNW):The government briefed a delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami on matters related to petroleum products and fuel prices. Federal ministers Ali Pervaiz Malik and Azam Nazeer Tarar, along with Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani, informed the delegation about the government’s measures concerning fuel pricing and supply.
During the briefing, the government discussed the seven-day average pricing mechanism, uninterrupted fuel supplies, and targeted relief proposals for motorcycles, rickshaws and small vehicles.
Officials also briefed the delegation on plans to upgrade refineries to produce Euro-V standard petrol and reduce dependence on imported fuel.
Despite the briefing, the key public question remains when consumers will actually see a reduction in petrol prices and meaningful relief. Public attention is now focused on whether the government’s proposals will translate into concrete measures.
