Iran Rejects Trump’s Claim of Requesting Halt to US Military Operations

Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian official sources have rejected US President Donald Trump’s claim that Tehran had requested the United States not to carry out further military operations.

According to the AFP news agency, Iran’s Mehr News Agency, citing military officials, reported that President Trump’s statement is baseless and has no truth in it.

According to the report, Iranian military officials said that no request was made to the United States to halt military attacks, describing the claim as “a new lie.”

Iranian officials stated that the country’s armed forces remain on full alert and are prepared to respond to any possible situation at any time.

According to the officials, Iran’s defense forces have been placed on high operational readiness, warning that any act of aggression would receive what they described as an appropriate response.

The statement comes amid continuing tensions between the United States and Iran, with senior officials from both countries continuing to exchange strong public statements.

According to political observers, the conflicting claims by Washington and Tehran could further increase regional tensions, while the international community continues to emphasize the need for a diplomatic resolution to the crisis.
