Rawalpindi: Attempt to Enter GHQ Foiled, Two Soldiers Injured, Attacker Killed

Rawalpindi (HRNW) — A man allegedly attempted to enter the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, triggering an exchange of fire between security personnel and the attacker.

Two army personnel were injured by gunfire during the incident. The injured soldiers were immediately shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

Security forces responded to the attack, killing the attacker at the scene.

Following the incident, security was further tightened around GHQ and the surrounding areas, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
