Karachi (HRNW)- A hearing was held at the Karachi City Court in the drug case related to the Karsaz accident, where Judicial Magistrate East acquitted the accused, Natasha, after the prosecution failed to establish the charge due to insufficient evidence.
According to Natasha’s lawyer, Fuad Ali Kachhi, neither the Chemical Examiner’s report nor the blood test confirmed the presence of ice (methamphetamine) in the accused’s blood. The lawyer told the court that the samples obtained by police had allegedly been tampered with and that the investigating officer had allegedly concealed the blood test report.
The court acquitted Natasha in the drug case after finding that the prosecution had failed to prove the charge.
Natasha had previously also been acquitted in the main case concerning the Karsaz accident.
The incident took place in August 2024 in Karachi’s Karsaz area, where a speeding vehicle struck and killed a father and his daughter. The incident subsequently attracted widespread public attention across Pakistan.
