Karachi (HRNW) — A key meeting on judicial development projects in Sindh was held at the Supreme Court Karachi Registry under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court, Law Minister, Chief Secretary Sindh, Secretary Finance, and other relevant officials. Participants reviewed in detail the progress made so far on judicial development projects across Sindh and emphasized the need to resolve pending matters promptly.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi said timely provision of judicial infrastructure and financial resources was essential for the effective functioning of courts and improving the delivery of justice.
He stressed the need for continued institutional coordination between the judiciary and the Sindh government to translate judicial reform objectives into practical measures.
According to the official statement, the meeting discussed the construction of facilitation centers for women, relocation of courts to suitable buildings, funding for infrastructure projects, and issues related to the Korangi District Court Complex.
Participants emphasized the need to resolve pending issues concerning the complex and accelerate progress on the project.
The Chief Justice said improvements in judicial infrastructure, combined with modern facilities and effective systems, could make the justice system more accessible and efficient for citizens.
Representatives of the Sindh government reaffirmed their commitment to continued support for the judicial sector and assured that projects aimed at strengthening the justice system would be given priority.
Relevant departments will coordinate closely with the judiciary to resolve pending matters and ensure the timely completion of development projects.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi also emphasized continued consultation and cooperation among the Sindh High Court, the Bar, the Sindh government, and other stakeholders, saying such cooperation could help find practical and mutually acceptable solutions to outstanding issues.
