Human Rights Council Addressed on Balochistan Rights Abuses

Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW) During the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council on April 1, 2026, activists drew urgent global attention to escalating human rights violations in Balochistan. Reports presented to the council highlighted over 1,300 cases of enforced disappearances and more than 200 extrajudicial murders in the past year alone. The international community was urged to hold authorities accountable for the systemic targeting of civilians and to intervene in the deepening humanitarian crisis in the region.
