Mogadishu, Somalia (HRNW) – UNICEF has warned that unprecedented humanitarian funding cuts are forcing the closure of essential health and nutrition facilities across Somalia. The agency reported that 205 health and nutrition facilities have already closed, reducing access to lifesaving services for children and vulnerable families. UNICEF says the loss of healthcare, nutrition, water, education and protection services could deepen Somalia’s child humanitarian crisis.
