WHO Confirms Ebola Vaccines Allocated for Democratic Republic of the Congo

Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (HRNW) – The World Health Organization (WHO) and Africa CDC have welcomed the allocation of Ebola vaccines to the Democratic Republic of the Congo as health authorities intensify efforts to contain the country’s growing Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak. WHO reports that sustained transmission continues and describes the outbreak as the largest recorded Ebola disease outbreak in the country, surpassing the 2018–2020 outbreak.
