According to the Aid Worker Security Database, 350 humanitarian workers were killed in 2025, compared with 387 deaths recorded in 2024.
The UN said the growing use of armed drones is contributing to the increasing risks faced by humanitarian personnel in conflict zones.
Gaza was the deadliest location for aid workers for the third consecutive year, with 186 humanitarian workers reportedly killed there during 2025.
UN officials have called for stronger protection of humanitarian personnel and greater respect for international humanitarian law.
