UN Warns Lebanon’s Humanitarian Crisis Remains Severe Despite Return of Displaced People

Beirut, Lebanon (HRNW) – The United Nations is reporting that approximately 860,000 people displaced by conflict in southern Lebanon have returned to their homes, but humanitarian needs remain extremely serious. UN agencies continue to warn that returning communities require assistance with shelter, basic services, livelihoods and recovery as they face the consequences of prolonged conflict and destruction.
