Rome, Italy (HRNW) – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is increasing preparedness for a potentially severe El Niño event that could intensify food insecurity in vulnerable regions. WFP says climate-driven shocks could significantly worsen food insecurity in 45 countries, making early action, emergency preparedness and timely financing increasingly important for communities already affected by conflict and poverty.
