Major Fire Erupts at Garment Factory in Karachi’s SITE Area, Safety Concerns Raised

KARACHI (HRNW) — A sudden fire broke out at a garment factory near Insaf Kanta in Karachi’s SITE Area, prompting a major firefighting operation.

Chief Fire Officer Humayun Khan said 10 fire tenders, two snorkels and two water bowsers are taking part in efforts to bring the blaze under control.

According to fire officials, firefighting and rescue operations are facing difficulties due to the lack of a proper access route to the factory.

As a precautionary measure, workers and staff from nearby factories have been evacuated. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
