Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 14 May 2026, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) appealed for stronger international solidarity to address the growing refugee crisis.
The agency reported that millions of displaced people continue to struggle with inadequate shelter, education, and healthcare. UNHCR warned that funding shortages could severely impact humanitarian operations in several vulnerable regions.
