Islamabad (HRNW) — Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has rejected Indian media claims regarding the alleged killing of a purported Lashkar-e-Taiba commander, describing the episode as a “false flag operation.”
Addressing a press conference, the DG ISPR said that on September 29, another incident was presented by India in which it was claimed that Lashkar-e-Taiba’s alleged commander Musa, also identified as Muhammad Asif, had been killed.
According to the DG ISPR, Indian media also claimed that Muhammad Asif, also known as Hashim Musa, was a former Pakistan Army Havaldar, and reportedly presented an alleged service card in support of the claim.
He said Indian media had portrayed Musa alias Asif as a significant militant figure and attributed attacks in different areas to him. It was further claimed that three of his alleged associates were also killed during the operation.
The DG ISPR rejected the Indian claims and described the episode as a false flag operation, according to his remarks at the press conference.
