PTI Intensifies Preparations for October 4 Long March, Issues Mobilization Directives

Lahore (HRNW)- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has intensified preparations for its October 4 long march, with Secretary General Salman Akram Raja issuing organizational directives to party leaders and workers in Punjab.

During a meeting with the PTI’s Lahore chapter, Raja assigned responsibilities for the planned mobilisation and directed party workers from 10 districts, including Lahore, to remain active in the city on October 4.

He also instructed organizational office-bearers, lawmakers, and party ticket holders from other districts of Punjab to travel to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in connection with the planned march.

Raja directed party officials to remain mobilized and maintain continuous communication with workers and organizational leaders ahead of the protest.

He also called on lawmakers and party workers from South Punjab to reach Peshawar, where the PTI has announced that the long march will begin before proceeding toward Islamabad. The party’s political committee had earlier postponed the march from September 27 to October 4.

The PTI’s preparations come amid heightened political tensions and extensive security arrangements by federal and provincial authorities. The government has previously announced restrictions and deployed additional security personnel ahead of the planned mobilisation.

PTI leaders have said the march is intended to press the party’s political and constitutional demands, while government officials have emphasized that protests must remain peaceful and comply with the law.

The October 4 mobilisation is expected to involve party workers from multiple regions, with the PTI seeking to coordinate its organisational network across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
