New York, United States (HRNW)- On 3 June 2026, the United Nations announced preparations for the release of the Third World Ocean Assessment, a major report evaluating the health of the world’s oceans.
UN experts warned that climate change, pollution, and increasing human activities are placing unprecedented pressure on marine ecosystems, threatening biodiversity, fisheries, coastal communities, and human well-being. The report is expected to guide future international ocean conservation efforts.
