Karachi (HRNW): Acting on a tip-off, the District East Police, Gulshan-e-Iqbal Division, successfully apprehended a suspect heavily involved in the illegal sale and distribution of liquor.
The Arrest and Recoveries
According to the District East Police spokesperson, police personnel conducted a targeted raid based on credible intelligence reports. During the operation, the suspect, identified as Amanullah Jamali, son of Hussain Jamali, was taken into custody.
Law enforcement officials recovered numerous bottles of liquor along with cash obtained from the illegal sale of alcohol from the possession of the arrested suspect. A formal case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of the law, and further investigation has been initiated.
Prior Criminal Record
The police spokesperson highlighted that the arrested individual is a habitual offender with a significant criminal history. He has been previously arrested and booked by the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police in the following cases:

FIR No. 03/2023: Registered under Section 324 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) for Attempted Murder.

FIR No. 04/2023: Registered under Section 23(1)A of the Sindh Arms Act (SAA) for Possession of Illegal Weapons.

FIR No. 682/2024: Registered under Section 11 of the Temporary Residency Act.
