Mogadishu, Somalia (HRNW)- On 31 May 2026, several UN agencies, including the FAO, UNICEF, WFP, and OCHA, warned that hunger and malnutrition are worsening in Somalia.
The agencies reported that millions of people face severe food insecurity, while nearly two million children are suffering from acute malnutrition. The United Nations appealed for urgent international assistance to prevent a deeper humanitarian catastrophe.
