Tehran (HRNW)- Iranian President Masoud Peshkeshian has said that lasting peace and stability in the world must be rooted in the Middle East, stressing that Iran does not want war but is fully prepared to confront any aggression.
Addressing a ceremony in Tehran, Peshkeshian said no force could compel a determined nation to surrender and that Iran would not bow to threats. He also called for greater cooperation and mutual trust among regional countries, saying they should play a leading role in determining their own security and future.
Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf described recent regional agreements as the beginning of a new era. He urged neighboring Muslim countries to rely on their own capabilities and cooperation rather than external powers for security.
Qalibaf said recent developments had demonstrated the importance of Muslim unity and regional cooperation, arguing that lasting regional security should be based on the will and joint efforts of Muslim countries.
The statements come as tensions continue across the Middle East, keeping regional security at the center of international attention.
