Vienna, Austria (HRNW)- On 18 May 2026, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) expressed concern over increasing cases of human trafficking and exploitation worldwide.
According to the agency, women, children, migrants, and economically vulnerable communities remain the primary targets of trafficking networks. UNODC urged governments to strengthen victim protection mechanisms and intensify international anti-trafficking cooperation.
