Lahore (HRNW): Shahdara police have arrested a suspect in a timely operation in connection with an alleged sexual assault case involving a 15-year-old girl.
According to police, the victim, a ninth-grade student, alleged that the suspect Waleed had been harassing her for some time. She further stated that he allegedly assaulted her a few days ago.
Initial reports suggest that the suspect also recorded an objectionable video and used it to blackmail the victim. It was further alleged that during school holidays, the suspect, along with an accomplice, attempted to forcibly enter the victim’s house.
Upon receiving a complaint from the victim’s parents, Shahdara police acted promptly, arresting the suspect on the spot and registering a case.
Police officials stated that initial investigations are underway and further evidence is being collected. They added that the case is being thoroughly investigated from all legal and procedural angles.
