Dadu (HRNW) – Three eighth-grade schoolgirls from Mehar, District Dadu, have reportedly gone missing after leaving for school, prompting police to launch an extensive search operation and expand their investigation.
According to police sources, the girls’ parents have filed a Non-Cognizable (NC) report at the local police station. The missing students’ mobile phones are switched off, leaving their families deeply concerned about their safety.
Following the incident, SSP Dadu, Retired Captain Saddam Hussain Khaskheli, rushed to Mehar, where he chaired a meeting with local police officers at the DSP Office to review the situation and oversee the ongoing investigation.
The SSP also met with the parents of the missing girls to obtain preliminary details about the case. Police said the scope of the investigation has been broadened, and multiple leads are being pursued to trace and safely recover the students.
According to police, all available resources are being utilized to ensure the girls’ safe and early recovery.
Meanwhile, the Inspector General (IG) of Police Sindh has sought a detailed report from the SSP Dadu and directed that every available resource be employed to secure the safe and swift recovery of the missing schoolgirls.
