Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 7 May 2026, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) warned that global displacement levels continue to rise due to conflicts, climate-related disasters, and economic instability.
The agency highlighted that millions of families remain without adequate shelter, education, and healthcare. UNHCR called on governments and donor nations to strengthen international solidarity and expand humanitarian assistance programs.
