Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 16 May 2026, the International Labour Organization (ILO) warned that forced labor and worker exploitation are increasing globally.
The report stated that economic hardships and illegal recruitment systems are pushing millions into inhumane working conditions. The ILO called for stronger labor protections, transparent employment systems, and strict enforcement of workers’ rights laws.
