UN Report Raises Alarm Over Conflict-Related Sexual Violence

New York (HRNW) — The United Nations has released a major report warning of a rise in conflict-related sexual violence in several war-affected regions.

According to the report presented by António Guterres, verified cases involve women, men, and children in areas affected by armed conflict. The UN said sexual violence continues to be used as a tool of intimidation, punishment, and abuse in conflict zones.

The report calls for stronger accountability measures, survivor support programs, and international cooperation to combat impunity.
