Islamabad (HRNW): The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a major reduction of up to 27.71% in LNG prices, with an official notification issued in this regard.
According to the notification, the LNG price for the Sui Northern system has been reduced by $6.81 per MMBTU, bringing the new price down to $19.03 per MMBTU.
The previous LNG price for the Sui Northern system was $25.84 per MMBTU.
For the Sui Southern system, the LNG price has been reduced by $6.95 per MMBTU, bringing the new price to $18.13 per MMBTU.
The previous price for the Sui Southern system was $25.08 per MMBTU.
The reduction in LNG prices is expected to ease costs across the energy sector and could provide some relief to industrial and commercial consumers, depending on how the reduction is passed through the gas supply chain.
