Damascus, Syria (HRNW) – The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the Republic of Korea have launched the second phase of a programme providing lifesaving food and nutrition assistance in Syria. The new phase includes US$5 million in assistance expected to reach approximately 38,000 vulnerable people over the next 12 months, according to WFP. The programme is intended to support people facing severe food and nutrition challenges.
