WHO Urges Countries to Strengthen Disease Surveillance and Emergency Preparedness

Geneva, Switzerland (HRNW)- On 21 June 2026, the World Health Organization (WHO) called on Member States to reinforce disease surveillance systems, improve emergency preparedness, and invest in resilient healthcare infrastructure.

WHO stated that stronger international cooperation, early-warning systems, and equitable access to healthcare resources are essential for responding effectively to future public health emergencies.
