United Nations Calls for Greater Humanitarian Support for Global Hunger Hotspots

New York, United States (HRNW)- On 21 June 2026, United Nations agencies, including the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), renewed their appeal for urgent international assistance to address worsening hunger in several global crisis hotspots.

The agencies warned that conflict, climate shocks, economic instability, and funding shortages are pushing millions of people toward severe food insecurity and famine, urging donors to increase humanitarian support immediately.
